Fund Her Future Grant 2026: Eligibility, Funding, and How to Apply

Running a small business means making decisions about everything from customers and cash flow to taxes and day-to-day operations. But as your business grows, there are moments when having the right support can be just as important as having more money, which is where the Fund Her Future Grant comes in. The program is aimed at women business owners who are already building something of their own and could benefit from additional support to take the business further.

What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is that it looks beyond the business itself. Along with financial support, winners receive help with some of the areas that can easily become a burden for a growing business, including bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, and business structure.

Before you apply, though, it is important to understand who this program is actually designed for, what you need to qualify, and what the application involves. Here’s what women business owners need to know.

What Is the Fund Her Future Grant?

Fund Her Future is a small business grant program from Block Advisors by H&R Block that supports women who own and operate businesses in the United States.

The 2026 program will provide $180,000 in total grant funding, with four recipients receiving $45,000 each. But the cash award is only part of the package. Each winner also receives a year of complimentary business services covering areas such as tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and business structure analysis.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Fund Her Future is designed to support existing and established businesses, making it unsuitable for those who just have an idea. To apply in 2026, you must meet several basic requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or 19 in Alabama and Nebraska.
  • You must be a U.S. resident.
  • You must own a small business operating in the United States.
  • Your business can be full-time or part-time, and you can operate as a sole proprietor or have employees.
  • Most importantly, the business must have generated at least $20,000 in revenue during 2025. Nonprofits are not eligible.

When is the Application Due?

The 2026 application deadline is September 22, 2026, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Applications opened September 1.

After applications are reviewed, a group of applicants will be selected for personal interviews. The four winners are expected to be notified in October.

Is There an Application Fee?

The current 2026 Fund Her Future application information does not list an application fee. The application is submitted online through the program’s official website.

As always, check the application page before submitting in case the terms change.

What Will Winners Receive Beyond the $45,000?

Each winner receives one year of complimentary small business services, including:

  • Tax preparation: Help with preparing business taxes.
  • Bookkeeping: Professional support with keeping business financial records organized.
  • Payroll: Help manage payroll and related responsibilities.
  • Business structure analysis: A review of the company’s structure to help determine whether it is set up appropriately for the business.

For a business owner who is doing most of this work alone, that support can be valuable. It can also free up time that would otherwise be spent dealing with administrative tasks.

Is This Grant a Good Fit for Your Business?

Fund Her Future is designed for an existing U.S. business that generated at least $20,000 in revenue during 2025. You also need to meet the age and residency requirements, and the business must be for-profit rather than a nonprofit.

If those requirements don’t fit, don’t try to force your business into the program. There are other business grants for women that may be better suited to startups, newer companies, and businesses at different stages.

How to Prepare Before You Apply

Before you start writing:

  • Gather the basic information you’ll need about your business.
  • Make sure your 2025 revenue figures are clear and that you can explain your business model without relying on technical or complicated language.
  • Think through your growth plans as well. What would you actually do with $45,000? What problem would the money solve? What would change in the business after you receive it?
  • It is also worth making sure you’re ready to apply rather than simply applying because the grant amount is attractive. Our guide on how to know if you’re ready for funding can help you assess where your business stands.
  • Then give yourself enough time to review the application before submitting it. A simple grant application checklist can help you make sure you haven’t overlooked an important detail.
