A program that connects women and young adults to opportunities within the education industry, and employment. Primarily, it teaches those who are seeking work the necessary qualities in today’s workforce by organizing workshops, in-depth career competency, and training that is specific to a particular industry, individual coaching, and linkage to higher education. Participants of the Career Pathways program are closely examined, and questioned in order to identify their ambitions and talents. Office of Economic Development and International Trade – Governor’s Minority Business Awards
An award of appreciation to women-owned businesses which is handed out annually. Recipients are chosen based on their success and contribution to the economic diversity of Colorado. There are four categories that are given out through four regions in Colorado: micro, small, medium, and large. Those who win the award are given one free-of-charge course of their choice within the Colorado Small Business Development Center, a short video promotion for their business which is administered by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, involvement in an OEDIT press release, two cost-free mentorship classes with a renowned business director in a similar industry, and five hours of free commercial consulting and a strategy improvement which includes monitoring market communication, branding, a search engine optimization strategy, as well as a general business and marketing planned direction. CDC Foundational Skills Institute – Earning a High School Equivalency Diploma
This institute assists women in attaining a high school equivalency diploma and moving on to a college degree, as well as practical training for within the department of their selected career paths.
