The aim of this grant is to empower women to incorporate constructing, adapting, and financing the traditional economic expansion of tourism infrastructure ventures which are nature-based and endorse the creation of new jobs, as well as a capital investment in such communities. - Infrastructure Feasibility Grant
The financial backing of infrastructure feasibility studies, construction, engineering, or other planning and formatting pursuits which will assist with facilitating the area or increase work opportunities. The amount of financial assistance given through these grants depends on the number of jobs the woman’s company promises to generate, as well as the location of the project.
$50,000 for ventures generating at least 100 jobs.
$150,000 for ventures creating at least 300 jobs.

The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Department Grants
A number of grants are administered through this city department to women-owned non-profit organizations intended for the promotion of cultural programs and community functions. The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Department in collaboration with the Gainesville Cultural Affairs Board has directed its assets toward promoting the arts. It aims to make such culturally important aspects available to all residents, especially to those with disabilities, senior citizens, financially disadvantaged persons such as single mothers, as well as ethnic minorities. In order to qualify for such grants, one must show sincere interest in improving community standards and accessibility. A free-of-charge program for hard-working women who are occupied with maintaining their careers, home, and family and scarcely have time to focus on themselves, and especially their health. Women’s Advantage supports the preservation of good mental health, physical fitness, and overall well-being. Topics that are discussed during seminars include heart disease, exercise, breast cancer, depression, weight loss, osteoporosis, bladder and bowel disorders, and more. - Equal Access Clinic Network
A clinic run by students which aims to enable as many professional medical services as possible accessible to all residents, especially to women who are financially disadvantaged. The Equal Access Clinic Network offers patient education, as well as connections to community resources. - Safe Kids North Central Florida

- Support Group
The Peaceful Paths support group welcomes both children and adults. It aims to act as a safe space for its attendees and empower women who have survived abuse. By sharing experiences with other survivors, women are able to acquire an understanding of power and control in relationships, learn about the warning signs, the cycle of violence, and managing relationship stress. - Crisis Counseling – Trauma Intervention
Offers trauma intervention and counseling assistance to those who have suffered from domestic violence. This program accepts women of all ages, as well as the children of single mothers, or struggling families. One-on-one counseling sessions are serviced at a mutually agreed upon schedule throughout the entire week. All serving therapists are qualified and licensed professionals. This is not an intervention that focuses only on the short-term consequences of experiencing such an event – it also focuses on teaching survivors coping mechanisms which will guide them in the future.
